A Season to Remember?

Hmmm.... Wet wipe or rock...? Wet wipe or rock...? Gosh, I am going to have to say the wet wipe seems like a more practical suggestion for my personal situation. It's lighter to carry, it is designed to clean poo, and it is NOT a rock...

TomT, you sir, are hardcore.:D I'm trying to visualize myself using the native limestone we have around here, and... no... no thankyou... I would rather have baboon a**.

Hahahaha, I have asked my hunting partner to do a LOT of things....but, I think I would have a hard time asking him to come and stitch me up...lol:D

Emergency outdoor BM count is now at 5 in 2011 despite my best prevention efforts.:(

But fortunately I wasn't just "dropping off" on yesterday's waterfowling trip. Luckily I did a little picking up as well. :D I could have easily limited with several passes of geese that were up close and personal, but I passed up the shots hoping that a buddy who was having a bad day would finally drop one. No such luck for him:eek:, but I was happy to get these nice honkers.

Hunting in SE Kansas. The geese are there in good numbers for this time of year.

This has been a very "productive" season so far -- many squats afield. Out in the sticks I get off my usual feed eating in cafes and out of C stores with predictable results.

I hunted north of Lucas on Friday. While I sat there Thursday stuffing my face, I knew I was asking for trouble. I managed to avoid the dump in the field, but it was a much faster walk back to the truck than it was away from it. I'm actually surprised the dog didn't seize this opportunity to run off and or slam a nice point just as I was helpless to do anything about it...lol

How was the hunting N of Lucas? I've heard very mixed reports from the area.

Have you ever stopped at the Garden of Eden there? Worth seeing IMO. My son kept asking the tour guide (lady), "Where's the dead guy in the box?" Meanwhile, my buddy is asking her about ghost acitivity on the property. She let us go upstairs by ourselves after telling us of one bedroom she was afraid to go into. My son, being the tuff guy I'm trying to make of him said, "I ain't scared dad b/c there's no such thing as ghosts....right dad?" I assured him I'd never seen one and thought it was all a bunch of crap. We went up to see the bed room the lady was fearful of. It was chained off. My buddy lifted the chain and pushed my son into the room. He would've had a helluva time convincing me he didn't believe in ghosts the way he bolted back down the stairs:D
