Awesome! Sounds like you had some good exercise.

Well it sure was a cold one on Saturday but I did get out and tried the spot my deer hunting buddy told me about. I only got one rooster, but he is one of the nicer birds I've gotten this year. Dogs flushed two others that I didn't have a shot on. Western Waukesha County.

No doubt, that's a beauty! At least you know where 2 more birds are hiding out for next time.
...unless you get there first
Hey now!! I will be the first one to hunt that small field next to the pines due east of the parking lot on hwy 83 at Tichigan wildlife area. He will never find my spot.
I left out in my spot from last weekend.
If 2 guys hunt the same place and 1 guy kills more birds is it really the other guys spot.
Lets get em!!
it was a long shot
Yeah it was probably a few hundred inches...
The snow brought out the hunters in hoards today. Besides myself there were 4 other vehicles out today at the same spot.
On the bright side the fresh snow slowed down the birds just enough to keep them in gun range today.
We found 3 today, Cookie was able to pin down and point both birds bagged today.
On the way back to the truck, I saw a guy with a setter pepper a rooster.
Thinking I may stay home tomorrow. 10 degrees high doesn't fun. Plus with all the pressure the birds are getting today I'm sure they will be hanging out on the private side of the property line tomorrow at the first sounds of pressure.
I'm still hoping to hear reports from the others that were heading out this weekend.
He only misses when my dogs point them.
