I got the pups out for a quick hunt today. We only had a couple hours free so we only moved two covies and didn't push either of them very hard. My brother ended up with four and I took three on four shots. It seems that steel 7s out of the 28ga is pretty good quail medicine.:cheers:

If it makes you feel any better I am picky about my shots in January since most of the birds I take now are probably additive take. I didn't shoot at either covey rise, only singles.
