AWESOME!!
As a brittany owner/breeder for 22 years I just love it. Absolutely beautiful.
My daughters just walked in and are gonna save that pic for a screen saver!!
Been there a time or two also with 3 or 4 on point and never had a camera.
And you called it--always a good ol female or male putting up with the young ones!!
Again--Great pic!!

thanks guys- I think I was getting to full of myself- figured I just better leave- but I miss the good guys and good bird dogs- just have to remember we are bird hunters sitting behind a computer

been a good year here- lots of hunters- but heck- sometimes the Britt's find a rooster hiding amoung the farm machinery

yea shadow,

when younger I'd let the britts out of the dog house on the farm, and they would get Silly birdy right away. Implements park always held birds. I don't why , but but shure seemed to.:)

groceryman- tears still come- she'll 11 years old and in a bad way- but she has the heart and the nose- I've been taking the camera quite a bit- wanted to get a picture of her with the 3 beasts-

mother, father, son, daughter in that picture- was my goal- on a rooster that I got

tell your daughters for me- it's about all she can do to run for an hour- we circle back to the vehicle and I have to help her in- she's content- we continue hunting-

I am getting a 20X30 poster of that picture

Awesome picture shadow, and welcome back. My pup is just over 2 years old now and he's my first bird dog. I can't imagine how hard it will be to see him start to slow down.

Welcome back. I do like your pictures.
Dumb question is the dog father back looking at the closer dog and backing him? or did you say whoa?

Glad to see you back and posting Shadow. The pics are excellent. My camera battery was dead yesterday or I'd have some to share:mad: I too had all 4 dogs on the ground yesterday and had all 4 locked up several times. My GWP is still creeping, but the other 3 (2 britts and 1 GSP) were absolutely solid. Guess we're done till next year. Take care of yourself Sir!

Welcome back Shadow, nice to see one of my favorite Brittany hunters showing what our great dogs can do. Keep up the good work and yes, be careful I don't want to lose you again..........Bob

goldeneye- not a dumb question- she's been a sure fire backer since she was 4 months old- took her with Shadow and he locked up- she froze when she saw him- saw me flush a rooster- she's been honoring since that day- both were at a run headed to the corner- I'd seen 2 roosters walk- she turned her head, saw him like that, and froze

the other youngster isn't the sure-fired honorer- but he does ok- he came and saw a bit later- I backed up and took a couple pictures

Wow! What teamwork.

yep- unruley beasts that they are- they think just because a field is a mile long it means fly- and forget that I'm arround- ahhh- sometimes I swear- sometimes I just go "please find a bird as once again I'll see you all"

we used to try to find a big field without any birds- so they could burn off some of that fly into the wind stuff and settle down- darn good thing I have 3 Garmins

same day- same field- same spot- ahhh- just because you get all 4 pointing and backing on a rooster- there just might be one or 2 still around

round:)

Welcome back shadow - BEAUTIFUL PICS - "ALMOST" makes me want to ditch my flushing lab & become a pointer man (but I'm a lifelong hopeless sucker for labs)!!! :D

That would make a good wall poster or mirro.
That sucks that you have been hunting while we are neck deep in snow and season over for a month. I am jealous.:D That looks like where Toto was dreaming of going.

I second that.

agree FSSpringer- I was checking into an oil painting- $10.00 a square inch- OUCH

4 days- my little female is still limping- I saw her trip on a coyote den- she continued hunting- but that limp has me a bit bothered
