What's your favorite/best brand/load for your rimfire.

I like Remington Golden Bullet

Remington Yellow Jacket HP

CCI Stinger

I think every .22 rimfire gun has its own appetite for ammo. Accuracy is #1 for me...and .22's can be picky about what they will shoot well.

I have good luck with Lapua and CCI Velocitor 40gr

favorite-Remington Golden Bullet Hollow Point- Walmart 550 pack

can tell you what I don't like
bought a case of the
Aguila Supermaximum Hyper Velocity .22 Rimfire Copper Plated 30 grain
very fast way less drop at longer ranges
but- they were all over the place at 60 yards in 2 rifles and 1 pistol
so- out with the chronny- velocities were everywhere from 1583fps to 1431fps
must be terrible quality control- in any 5 none were reasonably close
fun bullet to hit a rabbit with though

I don't shoot the ol' .22 much anymore but even 50+ years ago as a kid I had the best luck with the Remington Golden Bullets. At the time I had a Winchester Model 77 semi-auto 22. I could shoot the Golden's in that gun all day without a jam. But put any other .22 bullet in it and it would jam instantly.

good point-

interesting thing- both my old 22's jam sometimes when I use something besides the Remington Golden Bullets

another thing- both prefer WD40

What Ever Works

I use what ever shoots best in the rifle or handgun I'm using. Every gun can be different. If you try 10 different brands/types of ammo, you will find one that works the best and is the most accruate. That said, almost all guns will shoot Wolf Match Extra well.

Lock and Load! :D

For plinking it does not matter, but CCI ammo works good in my 22's for everything else.

Just picked me up a couple of boxes of CCI Stingers...love them things
