20 ga Wild Pheasant ammo?

I don't know about the 2 3/4 20 for Pheasants. Many years ago, I took one to Iowa. And before you say I wasn't hitting them properly, I assure you I was. It was a cripple fest. And no I didn't pick my shots either.

I’ve had good results with 2 3/4” lead…5’s…usually an ounce…I’m simple, I’ve had good luck with an ounce of #5 lead out of 16’s as well…if they pattern well, seems moot to a degree the gauge…I don’t have a huge sample size, but an ounce of 5’s have worked well out of 28’s as well.

When you shoot a 20 gauge or especially a 28 gauge, you have to really watch your range. Watch the wind.

If you hit them properly they would be dead, Mr. Obvious, formerly Birddude.
