Just guessing on TomTs behalf, but I've solo hunted near taller shelter belts and all you hear is roosters clackling coming out the otherside. It gets frustrating. If you have 2 people you can station one on either side.

Great news on the quail! I was stunned (too stunned to shoot) this year when we found quail in south east, South Dakota. Not far from the Nebraska border. Hopefully quail are making a comeback through the range.
