Opening weekend

Anyone get out opening weekend? Hunted Friday with low expectations but after seeing 2 coveys on the road thought I might actually get into birds. Had a great hunt saw 5 big coveys and a few pheasants on the day not counting the 2 coveys on the road. A lot better than the last few opening days for me. Hunted north central Haven’t hunted Missouri much after opening weekend the last few years but will this year.
 
Southern Missouri hit and miss. Got into 2 coveys on opening day, but I think someone scattered them before I got there. They were spread out and jumpy. Didn't connect. What area of the state are you in?
