    Opener

    Not sure what conclusion to draw, other than birds appear to be down significantly. Yes lots of crops still standing. Discussed with other hunters and most if not all experienced tough hunting (few birds). Things could change in 2-3 weeks, if it would quit raining and crops are harvested.

    Late season license

    Considering the late harvest, I think I am going to wait for SD trip until Dec. 15th. It is my understanding a license purchased after the 15th can be carried over until 2010 season. Anyone ever do this in the past? So can a person carry over 5 days until 2010 and buy another license for 10...

    Twins

    Have to be honest, I gave up on the Twins in early August when they were stinking it up. Lead is down to 2.5 games, can not believe they have a chance, but find myself watching them each night. It is exciting, helps get over waiting for the pheasant season. Go TWINS!
