Well ... SW MN is a little depressing

Drove from Sioux Falls to Pipestone today . Seen 1 unharvested corn field and much of what you experienced. Not to mention how many private, normally wet spots are getting tiled (up until this weather event). Seen one rooster scratching in a bean field near the Pipestone Nat Monument. Deer are...

Badlands are Bad A$$. And an easy drive from the river. Pitching jigs or plugs in the fast water at Big Bend Or Oahe tail race is always a great way to spend a morning or evening. While it's just a quick stop at the rest area in Chamberlain. The Dignity statue is quite a sight. Hiring a...

    Hotspotting

I cannot speak for pheasant hunting, or public ground, because I don't hunt public, and I won't give out where I'm at on private ground. But when it comes to fishing, which is basically always done on private, the worst are the one timers, who have no regard for the impact they can bring onto a...

Brome grass is taking over pheasant habitat in CRP

Or even a early spring application. Brome is one of the first to green up while all the warm seasons are waiting for more soil temp. Roundup will take out your early forbs, so I've moved to a grass herbicide only with good luck.

Is SD shooting itself in the foot?

Personally, I'd rather have a 9 day license that I could break into 3 periods for the same money. Living only a couple hundred miles away, I could utilize this better, and not have to take vacation to utilize the 5 day options. I can remember good brood counts on the Brule reservation in years...

    Canadian Thistles

I've never known a Canada thistle that could survive a dose of milestone.. If you're spot spraying, then I think you are missing patches. Milestone carries about an 18 month residual coverage. It's very effective.
