    Burn that switch grass.

    So do I burn my 1 acre patch of switch grass to destroy the bunny habitat in order to save 200 shrubs from being eaten or take my chances with the bunnies in order to provide cover for the birds. I am leaning towards burn baby burn.

    While we are sitting here lamenting the low pheasant numbers and lack of habitat he often point the finger at changing farm pratices for this loss. Such as the loss of fence lines. Certainly the loss of fence lines does not help the pheasant numbers, but lets look at it from the producers...

    Well here is our problem

    It hold and flushes. You don't even need a dog anymore. The best of both worlds pointers and flushers. No vet bills, dog food, wife being pissed because they chew up stuff. I can't believe I did not own one yet.

    I have got three once in one shot but never four. The round passed throught he chest of one hit the head of another exploded and the shrapenal from the skull and bullet took out the other two.

    that with 300 less Growing Degree Days than last year at this time and lots of wet ground yet to be planted that this years harvest will be slower than 2009. Remeber two years ago? Everyone complaining about crops still in the field. Get ready because it is going to be a repeat.
