New a5 20 guage

I like my sweet sixteen enough that I’m hoping they make the 20 in the black stalker configuration soon so I can get one for duck hunting.
And I already have a Franchi Affinity and a Beretta A300

Any reports on the new Browning A5 20 gauge?
I bought mine in May - love it! Extremely easy to load, very smooth. Typical hump makes sighting/mounting quicker for me. Handles 3" well. Light weight - nice to carry all day...Regards comparing this gun to older A5's - far superior. I've owned five Brownings and still have a 1941 version 12 ga. thats way too heavy for this hunter to lug!

I was in a LGS located by Cabela's in Mitchell and the A5 20s in stock were marked down, lowest price i have seen. The LGS owner ordered a bunch and needs to move them out. Apparently the interest has waned. The delayed release, the crate wood furniture and the many 20 gauge auto loader choices have turned buyers off. I would have more interest for an Ultimate or a Wicked wings configuration.

Back in the day I shot a 20 gauge LT 1100 a lot of the time. Then I went to a lot of 870 12 gauge, and A5 12 gauge. I use a sweet 16 a lot these days, and an old ithaca, as well as the LC Smith.

Price?

The new A5's look like the old B80's to me that Browning used to sell and discontinued a long time ago. They were made by Beretta for Browning. The new version is lighter than what they made back then.

I had a 2000 years ago.it only held 2 shells,I didn't like it.had one of those goofy poly chokes which suck.

I've never owned a 20 A 5.

I have a light 12ga from the 70s , the new 16ga and have shot the old 20ga. There are weight difference not only from gauge to gauge but from time of production. When I was younger I could carry the older guns and handle their recoil ( barrel moving backward to reload old inertia system) now in my 70s and planning to hunt for as long as I can, I need the lighter guns after boots on the ground for over 5-8 miles in the fields. So the new A5 is my new way to go. I am planning to add the new 20 ga here soon. That will complete my collection and I will hunt with the 16ga and 20ga.
The 12ga will be my blocking gun since I do not block very often not my hunting style. I now enjoy hunting behind my GSP s and taking only a few birds rather than going after the kill. Some day I will add a citori 28 ga for those time I visit my son in the south for quail hunts. Truly a Browning guy.
