a close up you light up my nose

Great pics, the only bad part is, he's visiting in the middle of the night a lot.

Best of luck, I hope you get a shot at a nice one.

I live in North Central Mn. I don't bother hunting bear. It's so hard to get bait. Everybody is charging for anything and everything that will make bear bait and bears can eat a lot of bait. Gets pretty expensive up here. If you can haul it from outside bear hunting country, it is much cheaper but you have to be able to bait often enough or the bear will either not hit it often enough or move to a place with better feed. In most cases they will choose a natural food source such as Acorns, berry's, Etc. if plentiful enough. I hunted them several times years ago. It's a lot of work to keep up with your baits and the bugs can be unreal at that time of year.

Those foxes always stop in for a photo op it seems! :D And is it just me, or does it look like the bear in the fifth photo is sleeping on the job?

Great pics as always sir!

Its not a sure thing at all If I'm lucky enough to see one circling the bait I consider my hunt a success but if I sit for 6 nights and see nothing I'm a little bummed but always ready to hit it again next year. I drive 375 miles one way and take turns each weekend altogether we take up 3500 to 4000 gallons of bait for 19 baits 12 guys we only hunt the opening 3 to 6 days we make a lot of cubs for next year if nothing else LOL!!
