Hunt every piece of public you can that has cover and is by corn. Hunt as many as you can. If you don’t stop, you’ll find them eventually!

Our guide has a number of properties around the Gregory/Dallas area. This will be my 3rd year. We didn't hunt the same piece of ground last year that we did the year prior.

Thank you for this info. Will be breaking in/training a new (to me) dog, a young adult rescue. Our first hunt. Thinking it will be best to hunt alone this time.

We always eat lunch at Sissy’s on Thursday and dinner at Frank Day’s that night.

I’d have to look at OnX again, but I don’t recall a lot of walk-in areas around the area.

Other than ditches, you can assume the public land around Gregory has/will be hunted pretty hard. I would consider hunting east of the river and a bit farther north.

I agree. Very little public land around Gregory. Quite a bit more 50-60 miles east.

Had a friend go to Gregory last week with business partners on a canned hunt. He said the guide was walking in the middle of the line banging two pans together flushing birds… little embarrassing if you ask me

Guide too. Guaranteed. Only people alive who'd intentionally catch carp or sheephead/drum, when real, edible fish are also available. Overheard from a NE boat, years ago below the dam at Yankton, "I think them carps is silver!" Most likely from Menominee, Fordyce, or Bow Valley.
