Anyone hunt upland with Terriers?

Sup ya'lls, I just bought a decker pup, he should be around 35-40lbs. I plan to use him for upland and on squirrels. But I was wondering if anyone here has ever used terriers for upland and how was your experience?

My first post, I'm hunting a Jagdterrier, he is a beast. It's all about the drive. He is a very versatile dog, smart and no quit in him. Just keep pounding the birds to him, they need lots of bird exposure, especially in the first few years, imprint birds, then more birds. Notice the thing about the birds? They will always go for fur, But if you want a bird dog, the first few years must be lots of birds and fun.
I'm pretty new to bird dogs, but I'm neck deep with this dog and he is an awesome dog to hunt with, he looks great and is going to be a true upland partner.

Do you have any videos ?
 
I’ve been hunting by myself, so getting good footage has been tough. I do have a small clip of him “bumping” a hen pheasant, the wind was wrong, but you can see him get birdie, and mark the bird after the flush. He is one year old and has had lots of bird contact, wild birds and from the training kennel. Lots of conditioning and long walks with the gun and dog.
I’ll work on the clip.
Look for a Jack Russel named “Gator”. Little dogs with lots of prey drive can do anything.
 
A number of years ago I posted a video or two of a guy using a terrier for pheasants. The dog did very well. I did a quick search but couldn't find it on Youtube (but/they it is out there).

My dad used a small terrier back in the day. He was a great pheasant dog. Typically terriers like to hunt. Work him on pheasants and he should pick up on it.

I follow a lady on instagram who duck hunts a jack russell named Gator the duck dog. Looks like he loves what he does.
