Picking up a 12GA 26" Montefeltro tomorrow. Doesn't come with a case any suggestions?
Thanks!
Thanks!
I'll have to head over and check them out. I'm leaning toward a canvas. A hard case would be nice but they are cumbersome. The Monte didn't come with a benelli break down case. I guess they reserve those for the 1400 and up guns.
Are you saying you bought a NEW Monte and it didn't come with a case? It should have come with a case, shims for the stock, choke tubes, and a choke tool. If you paid full price for a new gun and didn't get all these things, you might want to make sure the seller didn't "forget" to give you all the extras.
Dave
that box you got is what the case comes in.
Who cares about the case,,,the only thing I've ever used mine for is storing the shims. but Did you get the shims!![]()
I'm just screwing around I didn't know if it came with a case or not. After searching the web,,it seams your right. 3 chokes no shims and no hard case. Either way I think you got a good buy . Its a really nice looking gun.
If you look on the current Benelli web site under the Montefeltro it lists both the hard case and shims as "Optional Features".

I had a Monte for many years and it was a great shotgun. Fit me perfect so never needed the shims that came with it. In almost 60 years of hunting the only time I've ever had a firearm in a hard case was to fly with it. Get your self a good soft case and you'll be good to go.
