Case for Benelli Montefeltro

I'm a fan of the Boyt Canvas cases. Cabelas and Bass Pro sell knock offs that are pretty close as well.

I'll have to head over and check them out. I'm leaning toward a canvas. A hard case would be nice but they are cumbersome. The Monte didn't come with a benelli break down case. I guess they reserve those for the 1400 and up guns.

Are you saying you bought a NEW Monte and it didn't come with a case? It should have come with a case, shims for the stock, choke tubes, and a choke tool. If you paid full price for a new gun and didn't get all these things, you might want to make sure the seller didn't "forget" to give you all the extras.

I bought the gun off Armslist. From what I've been told the monte's come with a box. Not a break down case. This gun is mint though, cleanest used shot gun I've ever seen. Looks new! I got the chokes and tools he didn't have the manual and I'm not sure if it came with shims.

that box you got is what the case comes in.:D

Who cares about the case,,,the only thing I've ever used mine for is storing the shims. but Did you get the shims!

I read on another forum that the Monte doesn't come with Shims but they are availble. If I stumble upon a hard case I may get one for flying but likely I'll just keep it in a soft case. Looking at ordering a Boyt. They look nice! I paid 800 for it so I'm ok with not getting a case.

I'm just screwing around I didn't know if it came with a case or not. After searching the web,,it seams your right. 3 chokes no shims and no hard case. Either way I think you got a good buy . Its a really nice looking gun.

Thanks man! I'm glad you came up with the same info I did! Now I feel even better about it. Going to Shoot some Clays Sunday. Break this in. The Previous owner claims he's only had 100 shells though it. As Clean as it is. I believe him.

I found a video of a guy doing an unboxing of a Monte Silver on youtube and his came with shims and 5 chokes. Beautiful gun.

If you look on the current Benelli web site under the Montefeltro it lists both the hard case and shims as "Optional Features".

I had a Monte for many years and it was a great shotgun. Fit me perfect so never needed the shims that came with it. In almost 60 years of hunting the only time I've ever had a firearm in a hard case was to fly with it. Get your self a good soft case and you'll be good to go.

Thank you for the Link and suggestion. I'll probably get a flight worthy case in the future.

Case for monti

Just brought a 20 gauge monti silver
Comes with case shims 4 or 5 chokes
I had to re shim stock for me
I love gun ,best I ever owned so light
I won't use 12 gauge again

20 guage Monti might be best pheasant gun ever. Light and durable. 3rd shell option has made the O/U take a back seat.

Case for monti

Taking 20 gauge to s Dakota for 10 days.
Thinking about 3in # 5 for loads on pheasant
Love this gun
