Spring Photos

[Lake Itasca]

Everyone has heard roosters cackling, right?! I myself had never actually seen one cackle. I was not aware of the wing flap and mini strut he does before he cackles. While out photographing strutting turkeys lately I've had a few encounters with roosters doing their thing this spring as well. Yesterday, I was able to photograph a rooster cackling!! Enjoy.

Fantastic job on the pics. Particularly liked the roosters going at it with the turkeys in the forefront. You ought to submit them to a mag.
