Help KDWP catch a thief!

http://www.kdwpt.state.ks.us/news/H...T-CRITICAL-LOSS-AT-TUTTLE-CREEK-WILDLIFE-AREA

What a bunch of BS:mad:

More than likely, they're meth-heads that were out looking for Ammonia tanks and came across something they figured would sell quickly on the black-market.

Just figured I'd post it on here to raise awareness. Never know, one of us may be driving the backroads soon and see something fitting the description of the stolen property.....or worse, get an offer to buy a diesel engine and a 300-gallon fuel tank:eek:

Now that really pi$$ed me off. You are probably right about it being meth-heads. What the ****. Most hunters respect peoples propery, what next ? Are we going to have to take turns guarding our vehicles while we hunt.

Worthless SOB's that steal should be shot on sight. Nothing is safe anymore with these sorry pieces of sh*t stealing everything they get their hands on.

You can count on one thing, when I see a hunting vehicle with someone around it that looks suspicious I will stop and check it out to make sure it's not a thief. We leave our vehicles in some pretty desolate spots. So if you see a red chevy silverado ext cab with a topper on it and Ok plates feel free to stop and make sure no dirty rotten thief is stealing anything. I won't be offended by anyone checking me out, I will be relieved that someone has my back whether I know them or not.

Sorry, I do not see why you guys think they even implied that a sportsman did this! Seems to me they are just notifying hunters of the happening and asking for their help in locating the equipment. I would suppose that somebody, hunter or otherwise, might want it to work on their own place considering the drought. What about somebody down stream that needed to water crops and thought he'd preserve the water in the creek until it got to his property , and then he could use the pump. It certainly could also be meth heads or even metal theives or even somebody that wanted a fuel tank. Whomever it was/is they are a theif! Sorry I didn't see it as an accusation, but rather a notification and plea for help in finding it. I had to of missed something in reading it to think what y'all are thinking I guess.

If my words conveyed that there was any suspicion, either from myself or KDWP that it was a sportsman, then my communication skills have failed me. I made the following comment, "I seriously doubt these guys were outdoorsmen". That's about 180 degrees from what you've suggested in your response. Ease up friend.

I posted it on this site b/c I'm absolutely certain the perps aren't visiting it. The perps may not even know that KDWP is aware it is missing. They may still have the equipment sitting outside when we're all driving up and down the back roads over these next few months. This is a good group to share something like this with. It hasn't been on the local news that I've seen. If they were to mention it, they wouldn't give it any more than 15 seconds.

I think we're on the same side! I am sorry and did not realize I too came across wrong! My Bad! I think it was the (BS) I mis took. I think you were expressing frustration that anybody would do that and further now that the news wouldn't give them any help. I did misintrepret what you were saying. My apologies!

I'm not offended. I edited the comment b/c I realized how it could've been interpreted, given that it came directly after the angry face. No harm, no foul!

Sorry if my post offended anyone, that was not my intent. I was in no way blaming this on hunters, only on common thieves who steal from people who work for their money rather than get a job. I have no sympathy for a thief.

Please, nobody needs to apoligize except maybe me! I realize now that this thread was started to make us who are likely to be out and about in the area to be on the lookout for this equipment in order to aid the Police/ Wardens or authorities in catching the guilty party/ies and get the stuff back. I just didn't read it right! I am very sorry, and I corrected something that didn't need correcting. I hope the equipment is found, for everyone including the bird's sake. Lets all be on the look out for it! Let us be the "eyes on the ground" for the recovery! That's the "take home" message!

I don't have any info regarding the crime but I thought I would post on it to keep this thread at the top of the page. I fing hate thieves and want the POS that stole that equipment to get caught and rot in prison!

We locked down our pumps and moved the mobile units to the woods, and flatted tires to make harder to move. With the drought a lot of private clubs are looking around for pumps. Those one in Kansas are really nice, and move a lot of water. They are probably of state before they were noticed. Seems like a lot of vadalizism and theft goes on our there on that site about this time of year. Possibly, some custom theft ring, with standing orders. I also discount sportsmen, I would bet the farm if it were dike erosion by driving on them, sportsmen are usually to blame! We have that here. To long a walk to the blinds, or "scouting" missions. We have our pumps insured, in an ag policy, theft and maintence, costs us a $3000.00 deductable, we have in a CD. to stand the cost. Timing would be the thing. Got to get them delivered and set up, and a lot of pumping, unlikely that the thiefs took anything but the pumps. Fools in town will literally steal your air compressor for the copper if your not home. Somebody stoled an aluminum dog box from us many years ago. Dark evil thoughts and justification, I don't pretend to understand.
