Beautiful dogs Jeff, that red one ain't to bad either.;)

I can't believe it, but my wife is the one who's been wanting to add to the pack. I don't think I can handle more than one dog - though it's super tempting at time. Not sure how to keep track of more than one in the field.

great looking group you got there though! ;)

Well, I dont have a problem yet, but I figure this guy is going to get lonely...so I might have a problem eventually... This pup has been fantastic. I am Sooooo looking forward to next bird season, as he really "turned on" right at the end this year....

I firmly believe that on the seventh day GOD created the Field Bred Springer Spaniel!

This dog of mine seems pretty sensible. I knew I didn't want a bench bred dog and ran into a rancher that had a litter... they weren't "white dominated" like most the field breds I've seen, but I decided to take a chance. Especially since the dad and mom were proven hunting dogs AND had survived ranch life for a few years each...which can be a challenge... Anyhow, I'm pleased. Except that he's trying to chew the ear off one of my daughters stuffed animals right now. ;O)

PS, Nice lookin dog Sappire, but color has nothing to do with it. Most field bred dogs by good breeders are worried about bird finding # 1, not color. Ours have color, but that is the last of my concerns. Everything has to come togeather in the field first. And to the run to big post' well I will argue that every time my dogs run toooo big.

I only said that, being VERY new to Springers, because when googling all I could, it seemed like all the "field dogs" had an awful lot of white on them... as opposed to my guy that is almost all black!

Thanks! He seems to really like finding birds!
