Youth Turkey Season

One of the best times of the year.:) Youth Turkey season starts in the morning, we had 38 kids in our class tonight. Looks like the weather is going to cooperate. Hope to have a lot of smiling faces the next two days.

What a great day! Here are two of the kids that I took out today. Brother & Sister both harvested their first Rio Grande. I was able to call both birds within 20 yards. The kids did a tremendous job. I will post better quality pictures after this weekend. Right now I’m pooped out. But I do know that two more kids are hooked for life:D

I have taken two of the photo's of the kids that I hunted with to get them framed for keepsakes. Brianna's dad will be mounting her Tom. Can't wait for next years event.

UPDATE:
Looks like Brianna's Tom will score as the #1 or #2 scoring Typical Rio Grande bird taken by a Female hunter in Oklahoma if the registration is accepted by the NWTF. Not bad for 14 years old. :10sign:

Nice work recruiting the next generation. Lots of people talk about (myself included) but you are actually doing something about declining hunter numbers. Great Job. :)
