why

Why is it that a dog has there heat cycle every year on opening weekend all four of my females hit the spot today with only a little over a week left until opening day

You realize all females in a community group cycle on a sychronized schedule. When one goes they all go. Dogs, horses, and yes sorority sisters.

Could be the Pink UPH hat is coming :p

I vote either moon phase or a way to get even with you for some unknown transgression real or imagined. Well if things go wrong you'll have a lot of pups to sell in the late summer, early spring.

nah no pups i will only hunt me females alone and the males alone not together unless the male is fixed hyde it may have something to do with the pink hat also

do you breed your dogs? if not, why not spay them? my GSP will be spayed bc i dont need the situation like yourself.

I bred my female a couple of times then decided to get her fixed. Every time we were getting ready to go to Iowa I would worry that she would be far enough out of heat to hunt. One year in Iowa we saw 3 big bucks watching her.

I've seen that happen many times and in many kennels, and in dog breeds as diverse as Cockers and Coonhounds.
