Lets get this summer over with! I'm ready for some pointing dog action!

Had this dogs brother out today letting him run. He locked up pretty as could be out back along a fence line. Walked up to him and up comes a meadowlark. Might change his name from Rocket Bob to Meadowlark Lemon!
 
thats a GREAT pic....my 3yr old wirehair still points meadowlarks regularly...he's never done it while hunting...only on our runs at the lake or my buddies farm where there are no quail. guess he gets board. lol
 
If mine start to get bored, meadowlarks start getting pointed.

as a owner of hunting dogs, it is you responsibility to put you dog down in a field that has birds, that's a rule. if you don't do that this is what ya get. my dogs go to hunt and they will hunt something, if after hours with no so called real birds, they seem to find mice really interesting, besides, mice hold really well.
