It is a Baikal mp153. Noticed the hairline crack last year while cleaning. Looks like the crack has started at at the gas adjustment nut meets the barrel.
If I feel like shooting a semi-auto it is my Stoeger 3020. I got this gun last year after the pheasant opener and had a chance to shoot it in North Central KS the last week of the season. I've been very impressed with this gun. I previously had a Stoeger 2000 and had nothing but troubles with it. Light striking due to poor lockup of the bolt in cold weather. This gun has no issues and bolt lockup is VERY solid. For around $500-$550 it's a very good bargain.
I ordered a new Benelli Montefeltro that just came in. I am picking it up Friday. My Browning Gold Hunter has been my pheasant gun for the last 16 years which I have absolutely loved. Going to switch it up this year. Looking forward to the Monte.
