Do you happen to know what that grass is? I seen it on a few CREP properties in SD.the spikelet's (seeds)are too far apart for western wheat. They are also solitary. another trait. Tall wheat grows 3-7 feet tall.
Western wheat grows 1-2 1/2 feet, with the seed spike 2-6" in length.
