Got woke up this morning to the sound of a male bobwhite whistleing right outside my bedroom window. Man that sure beats the hell out of my regular alarm clock thats for sure. So I get up out of bed and walk to the back door and look out and see a male/female pair milling around down by the tractor shed. And I heard another male, sounded young, whistleing also. All in all I had 4 quail within about fifty yards of my back door. Doesn't get much better then that!!!:cheers::cheers:

Jaytee..great job...now the harder part begins....inspiring, convincing and educating your NEIGHBORS to do the same. I have had some luck in this department.

Jaytee,

Looks like allyour hard work is paying off.:thumbsup: Hope you get to hear & see more over the next few years.

Do you do any preditor control?

Man that is great, here is hoping they multiply many times over. I miss hearing the bob white, my uncle has some property just north of Ironton and years ago when it was his dads property you could hear them calling all the time. How times have changed.
Great going on your part.

Just the freeranging cats. I've thought about it and read and studied it and from what I can tell you really cant make that much of a difference, especially on such a small scale. I really have no problem with a hawk or fox catching a quail, housecats on the other hand need to stick with kibbles and bits.
