Not sure if many knew about Tom's passing this week. Thought you all might want to know.


The shooting world lost a great man today. Shooting Star Tom Knapp passed away this afternoon. Tom reinvented exhibition shooting almost 30 years after the passing of Herb Parsons. Tom was an inspiration to generations of shooters and he will be missed.

Sorry to here that. He was a great shot, down home folksy, charmed the audience, I sure liked his TV show. Gone west with General Dave, and Curt Gowdy. We need better hosts to take up the mantle, but it will be not be easy.
 
Yes, I heard about Tom Knapp's passing. Very sad deal. He was a very nice fellow, who I met a few times briefly. He remembered My name even though these meets where at mass event, and very short in duration. He was one heck of shot. RIP Tom.
 
met Tom casually last summer in Montana scouting for the fall hunting season, recognized his voice in the bar, before i recognized his face!
gracious, oh my, wish I could shoot just one day like he did!
