Thinking about a trip to Wakeeney, Hill City area in a few weeks. Anyone have any reports on bird numbers there?

I am heading there tomorrow with two other fellows. I will post our trip results when I get back on Sunday.

We have been here two days hunting the WIHA areas south and west of Hill City. The roosters are here and there with a ton of walking in between. We have put up about 20 roosters in two days with about that many hens. One fellow in our party killed a prairie chicken today. I mistook it for a hen pheasant long enough to pass up the shot. I will fill you in more later this weekend.

We are hunting in the NW zone and the season is open until 1/31.
