Got this weekend off!! Brother & I are heading out early Saturday morning. Never hunted the opener before. I can't wait!

I have never hunted with my brother-in-law before. He has never hunted pheasants, so I'm curious to see how he handles it. He is a good guy, I'm not worried about safety, just would like to see how he handles himself in the field. We might have to catch up with you at some point.

Hey, at least business is good right? I know in your industry that's a big deal! I'll be very close to where you're going on Thanksgiving w/e if you wanna hunt a field together or get some lunch. I plan to hunt like a nomad that w/e and just see some different parts of the state.....I think bird #'s are good in much of the state this year.

Don't worry about missing the opener. It is a rat-race. I've said for the past 5 years that I wouldn't hunt another one....it's the tradition that keeps me coming back.

I was one county E of where you like to hunt while you're in KS...this was Saturday. There were a LOT of birds in the area.

Did you sell your surrogator? My brother and I are looking to purchase one.
