video editing of hunts

For those of you videotaping your hunts on one of those nifty little digital POV cameras, what kind of editing software are you using? I don't need to do anything elaborate or fancy, I would pretty much just like to cut and paste video together, and maybe add a soundtrack. My computer is not the newest and fastest by any means, so a program with limited functions and requirements probably would be just fine for me.

If anybody can give me advice on what programs are working for you, or maybe which ones I should avoid, that would be very helpful. Thanks!

I don't think my stuff will ever make it to Hollywood. Realistically, I will probably be the only one who ever watches the videos, and maybe I will force my family and my hunting buddies to watch, and possibly you guys if I post it here...

I'm not of much help... the videos I just posted were my first attempt at video editing. I just used windows medis player, with the SolveigMM WMP Trimmer plug in. and it was way more hassel that it was worth. I'd be interested if there is another program out there that would have made it easier.

Although I did get a little seasick, I did enjoy watching your movie. I wonder if I bobble my head as much as you do. guess I'll find out.

I should post a video of me missing quail. I will show the shots in slo-mo and you all will wonder just why the hail I even bother with carrying a gun.

What operating system (xp, vista, win 7) are u running? If its a relitive "new" one it should have "Windows Movie Maker". Its windows' basic movie editor. You will be able to do everything u want to.

I use the Windows Live Movie Maker on mine comes standard with Win7 Does more than I'll ever need for it to do... takes a little practice watching the times you where you want to make edit starts and stops but then gives you some nice transitions and options for credit title etc.
Good tool.

Toad- why don't you take your young Britt out for a bit and do some taping-
then you could see how it works and all

maybe you don't need to do any editing- sort of think it would be nice to see what a first time experience would be like

I once taped a bit with a big old handheld- while it wasn't what you'd call very good- we got some laughs out of it- I actually dropped it running as the covey rise came at me and a gun was swinging- instinct said drop to the ground

being shot with bird shot 2 times- you know

Video Editing

Just got a replacement for my IKAM recording glasses (long story don't want to talk about it ) but the new version has only one button operation and has a link to download editing software. Haven't used it yet but that is a change from what there was in the earlier versions
