Update from SE SD...

Met a buddy of mine yesterday around 4, we hunted from 4:30 til 6:15 or so…some corn down compared to a week ago…wind was calm, it was sunny…birds were out feeding, it seems, but they were plentiful along the edges of my field, where I sent my pal..he walked the E, S, and W edge…he got 5, I got 1 hunting the interior…he saw pretty good #’s, I saw 9 or 10? He had a great time, as did I…we hunted this field 30 years ago, before I bought it…lots of memories…he made a snow fort on the border of this land about 25 years ago and pass shot birds coming out of corn late in the day…there were LOTS of birds back then!!!!

I wanted my buddy to have a good walk…the edges of my field are great late in the day…he said he passed on 4 more after we had our 6.,.glad he did well! This afternoon I parked next to my field and napped for 90 minutes, and observed the birds migrating out of adjacent corn into my field where they roost, and I saw 40-50 when I was awake…left the field alone, will hunt it tomorrow, gonna be windy, they’ll use it throughout the day…hunted solo today elsewhere, good day…
