Looks like you shared the rain with NE & IA...I have just over half inch this morning. It looks like it is a much bigger (wider) rain than the usual little pop-ups that have been the normal this year.
Driving in east central part of the state today and saw a hen with a brood of at least 8 chicks. Might have been 10+. That’s just one observation, but if that’s representative of how the birds did nesting, things will be looking good.
Just got off the phone with a farmer and he got another inch today. Puts 7.5” at his place in the last 2.5 weeks. Went from dry and dusty with the corn starting to curl up to seeing some low areas drowning out. Also said seeing lots of chicks around.
