Uninsulated Boots??

These Red Head tactical boots are my next try. Water proof and pretty tall, comfortable on my trip to Scheels today. $115. It will be interesting how the toe holds up in the grass. If I can’t get two yrs outta them I’m jumping in with both feet to the good stuff. I know I know but $400 for a pair of boots? I’m still trying to get over $4 McDoubles
I was glancing through this thread and looked up these boots. Not something I need right now, but for anyone else, I noticed they are on sale. $90 at cabelas/bass pro shops right now.

I had a pair of Redhead boots not long ago. They were great for one season. By the second season, they took on water and my feet got wet every time.

I don't put a ton of miles on my boots either. Won't be going with the Redhead brand ever again. YMMV

Ive worn their gunflint 400g for years, as long as I am moving/standing ive never gotten cold feet. Usually the opposite, hot and sweaty. The pair i bought last year tore at a stitched seam this summer and their customer service is awesome! They couldn't locate a replacement pair anywhere so they gave me a coupon for a free pair of boots (any boots).

I was going to get elk tracker but ultimately settled on the vaprtrek in 8", they are so lightweight its like wearing tennis shoes. Im not sure how the uninsulated will be for late season upland, but so far dove hunting and working the dog this fall they are great. A good pair of socks is more important than insulated boots IMO.
I would 2nd the Gunflints. Not the most comfortable. Not the most waterproof. But as durable as boots I've paid twice the money for.
