Where camo, and just let your dog go, and you should get some passing shots on roosters. It works well with a lab, I'm not sure if it would work with pointers.

Effective and I used to hunt this way when I could hunt closer to home. Not my favorite way and not sustainable process on a 2-3 day trip.

Not just snow either. When high winds prevail for a couple days ... the pheasants get into some nasty cover (in mass) and wait for the winds to subside or for someone to make them move on.

Haha no,! It only works in certain situations, and usually you do it when you're hunting solo, and just stay in the thick cover and pay attention to where the birds are flying they're up ahead of you.

The other day I was out, and my dog was way up ahead as usual, and he started flushing birds out of these trees, and I was about 200 yards away in some thick brush and the wind was right, and they started to fly over me.
