Wow, can't remember the last time we got sunburned pheasant hunting! Everyday was mid 60's with nary a cloud in the sky. Luckily our 6 came fairly early each day and we were able to shut the dogs down by 2PM. Bird numbers are definitely down, we probably only saw 20-30 birds a day besides the six we got. I've hunted the same area for over 25 years and have a fairly good feel for bird numbers. Most of the crop was out, still a few large fields in. Heading back over on Sunday and hoping the snow hasn't driven all the birds to the farm lots!
