Will be headed out to hunt December 8th-12th.
Lodging is in Webster and branch out from there.
How were the conditions and how much did/is this storm dumping?
Thanks for any info!!

Will do.
Was there much snow around that area to begin with? Ground frozen good? Ice on the lakes, sloughs?
Not sure, I don’t travel through that part of the state…probably some snow from the system a few days ago, but I think heavier snow was further south…my area got 4” today

I have friends out north of you and they are reporting alot of the grass lands have been matted down by this snow so some of the creps may not be holding birds. I would look for WPA's and GMA's as they often have better grass and some shelterbelts, don't forget to look WIA's as well some in Edmunds county looked very promising. Other wise walk the perimeter of cattails for grass land next to the crops. Areas around Aberdeen have 6 to 10 inches, from what my buddies are saying, they have been west of Webster since last wednesday.

Much appreciate the update!!

Grass took a beating from north central SD across into western MN. Cattails and thick willows/cedars is where the birds are. And water in the cattails is not very frozen yet. Hopefully as this week progresses that changes.
