Trailer grease

My small trailer has the Dexter EZ lube system and I need to put in some fresh bearing grease before I take it on my next trip. Planning on keeping it simple and buying a couple tubes of the Lucas Red n Tacky tomorrow unless someone has a better recommendation. I can get Mystic and Valvoline red grease too but in my red neck world Lucas seems to be the most popular? I have no idea if there is a difference between them other than cost.

What grease are you guys using in your trailer hubs? Probably doesn't matter but I thought I'd ask.
As someone that has a camper with those axles, I can tell you that greasing them through the grease zerk on the axle really does nothing. I repacked the 6 hubs on my camper this spring and was surprised to see all the newer grease that was nowhere near the bearing. The grease goes in the hub but does not get pushed through the bearing, it just sits in the hub. I would highly recommend spending the couple of hours and repacking the bearings with new grease. Just my opinion on the dexter axles.

I've read other guys say the exact same thing. Thanks.

The only time those "greaseable hubs" might do some good is on a boat trailer where some of the water might be pushed out. The grease only reaches the front of the bearing, if that. I believe even Dexter doesn't recommend greasing using the zerk fitting. One has to wonder why they put them on then?
