Lots happening around here and the night isn't over. I have had some thoughts about the lush green wheat and severe storms, like what happened to my family in Ness County, then a month later Greensburg.
Really hopping around Oklahoma. I'm sure that's going to all move east. Stay safe, lots of dangerous storms to keep going after dark. the most dangerous time.
Some watches just popped up for Elk, Greenwood, Coffey, Chataqua, and Coffey County Kansas. Thats a strong 100 miles west of me, moving this way though. Showing storm firing up just west of Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
It was a nasty night for sure. Like most Kansans, when the sirens go off, I go outside to look. Normally when I go to the basement it's just to appease the wife. That wasn't the case on Satruday.
Talked to some farmers I know Sunday and today--they lost some irrigation equipment but had no other damage.
