.......this weekend. Metro park hunt. The CVA Wolf did the job. Shot the deer left handed and left eye.

Yote came thru a little while after the deer.

Not bad for a south-paw. Yotes are thick this year. Had one hunter have the hind quarter eaten off by a yote after he shot his deer while tracking it.

What's really fun is going after deer is with a kentucky long rifle.The one I have is .45 cal. and have gotten a few with it.I load it for a longer range shot so I can reach out there and touch them if they don't want to come in close.

I had the daughters wedding on the opener, but I will be in the tree stand with the Encore Wed night and Thursday morning for sure..

Time to cut the deer up this morning and put in the freezer. That shot thru the hinder is not ideal. Will lose a pound or two there

That cloud of smoke sure makes things interesting when the shot is fired.

I enjoyed it and it was a fun way to get to hunt in our favorite park where we normally draw and archery tag every 2 years.

This year the archers shot 30 deer and the muzzy hunters only shot 12 in 2 separate hunts.

Powerbelt 50 CAL and the little circular powder charges you drop in the barrel (2 of em). Pretty technical eh? Sorry.

100 yards with open sights would be a poke!
