Took a couple of college boys on their first hunt today.

Along with my friends Phil and Zane, I took a couple of college athletes that went to our high school on their first quail hunt today. They did very well and really enjoyed themselves. We have got to keep the bird hunting tradition alive.

Not many wild birds left. I put these birds out for the guys.

It was a good quail state at one time. Still some wild coveys out there but you wear out a pair of boots in between them. Have a farm to hunt in eastern part of the state that we have moved three coveys on before. Tough though. Great hunt for sure. Thats the kinda stuff that will make those boys want a dog!
