Oughta work just fine. Agree on 2 3/4 with lead no. 5. It's plenty.
 
I have used a wingmaster for 30 plus years for all my bird shooting in different barrel configurations. I currently have a 30" barrel with choke tubes. Granted I have added additional guns including a 20 ga wingmaster and 12 and 20 870 expresses. My son has been using my wingmaster 12ga when we hunt SD. Can't go wrong with this gun, almost indestructible. Paired with 5's pheasant killing combo.
 
I've had an 870 sp for 25 years. I actually wore out a part in it, because I fired thousands of rounds out of it.Its a great gun, with a sling. I also was recently given a 870 camo, synthetic gun, with a sling. It was given to me by my good hunting buddy, who died of brain cancer 2 years ago. I have used it several times, and I feel like he can be out there in spirit, if his gun is out there. I wish I could have taken his black lab too. I would have, but the family wanted to keep her.
