tough hunt in snow storm today but we got it done. Birds were running like CRAZY....would never expect it in the snow....was over a foot in some areas...Ace pointed 2 birds early that ran and flushed wild 30-40 yards out...no shot. then first rooster we got he pointed bout half dozen times...it kept running then flew across the road...we eventually caught up with him in a corn stubble field. Second bird we got ran also...relocated it 3 times I believe before we got him...ran my older dog Jag for a while...he pointed a rooster also but I was limited out and the gun was in the vehicle. probably my last day of hunting this season here in IL. planning on Kansas next week.
