Here is what an 11 year old GSP does after two days of hunting...

My buddy from Colorado was here last week and we hunted 4 straight days, Monday - Thursday. It wasn't until yesterday that my dog got back to normal. Friday and Saturday I don't think she got off the couch other than to eat, drink or potty. Her feet and legs got rubbed raw from the crusted snow and brush. They are scabbed over now and will take a week to heal. My buddy had a GPS on his Brittany and while we may have walked 4-5 miles in a day the dogs were doing over 20.
