Ticks

Really sorry to hear that. I re-get Lyme or have flare ups from past infections every year or two. But I worry most about getting alpha gal. Do they have any treatments on the way for that, or any sign it can decline over time?
The effects over time get less severe but with a new lone star tick bite the alpha gal renews or resets. No known treatments that I know of. I keep children Benadryl with me, office truck, home, suitcase, at all times in case I accidentally eat beef or pork.

I use Simparica Trio on both our Labs. We occasionally find a dead tick in the house which is the way I like to find ticks :)
Same. We find a dead tick here and there but generally no live ones. Just saw the first (dead) tick about a week ago in my part of Colorado.

We are in NW South Dakota. The whitetail here are loaded with ticks which means lots of ticks to go around. I took the dogs out for a short run yesterday and picked 9 of the little S.O.B.'s off my pants legs even though I had sprayed them with bug dope. This wet weather really seems to agree with them. When it dries out later in the summer they go wherever ticks go till next season though we have found them on dogs in October hunting Kansas.
