My 14 year old BLM Mac has been treated twice previously for Lyme's with good results.
Mac doesnt get exposed to very many ticks as he spends most of his time on the couch becouse of this I decided to use up some left over Petarmour instead Bravecto this spring.
Monday evening he didnt eat with his usual vigor.
Tuesday he didnt eat supper but appeared normal
Wednesday morning he could not stand up and had a temp of 105
Started Doxy and Chamolax Wednesday PM
Thursday - Friday were touch and go, I honestly didnt think he was going to make it
Saturday AM he is nearly back to normal, temp is down, and his appetite is back!
Monday I should get the results back from the 4DX test. If we hadnt started treating for Lyme's/anaplasmosis and waited for the results my buddy would be dead!
Lesson dont fiddle around with collars or cheap off brands of topicals if you live in Deer tick country! Use a quality topical, Nexgard, or Bravecto
