The time is slowly approaching

So I've been working for the last three years in Louisiana. Job offer came up in Nebraska to take or not to take.

Depends on where in Nebraska. Not all of Nebraska has good bird hunting.

However, while hot and humid in Nebraska, it is likely less-so than LA. I imagine bugs are smaller in Nebraska, also.

Downside is, likely much less Cajun food. Big downside.

No matter where you live in NE, it's a shorter drive to good pheasant hunting than it is from LA.

But, it is a longer drive to 'gator hunting, or great bass fishing. Although, I will admit, I am quite happy just hunting pheasant in Colorado. Didn't wet a line at all, last year. I have to do something about that this year, though!

It's looking like I'm leaning toward going back to Nebraska, but the wife and her family are gripping about how high Nebraska taxes are. Here we go boys going be a long 4 months till we move.
