I wasn't quite sure of the best place to put this but thought more people would see it here.

Susquehanna Valley Chapter of Pheasants Forever recently (November 11, 2013) made a donation to the Independence Fund to help in the acquisition of an all terrain wheelchair for wounded veterans. Annunciation B.V.M School in McSherrystown, PA raised money for a donation and it will be made in the name of Capt. David Borden who is the school?s adopted military member for the year. The chapter donated $205 and along with the school?s donation, over $2300 will be donated to the Independence Fund in Capt. Borden?s name. The all terrain wheelchair will allow a wounded veteran to get back in the fields and woods that members of Pheasants Forever enjoy so much.

I am happy to report that additional donations came in for the Independence Fund through Annunciation's fundraiser and a total of $15,000 has been raised. The final $833 came from Ed Fisher who helped found LEEK Hunting and Mountain Preserve (and a member of PF). Check out their website: http://leekpreserve.org/
