Sounds of Success

Mr. Appleman, you must be one happy camper!
These birds are doing fantastic. Now if we can get the other WPRA's too duplicate this! WOW!

As I stood by that 45 acres of switchgrass, even I was amazed. I have never just sat and watched these birds before as I am usually moving on to the next stop. We saw dozens of roosters flying all over this field. They were crowing and chasing each other and sometimes 3 different roosters were flying together and the occassional hen would show up. I truly felt like I was in the midwest somehwere and many places in the midwest don't look like that place.

That's awesome! I think the key is getting the CREP acres into switch grass. If you drive through areas of Bradford county there are plenty of adjoining farms enrolled in CREP, that and all the idle farms because of the gas leasing and it looks like South East Pa. of the late 60's.
I know I mentioned this before but if PF could start to purchase land in Pa. like they do in other states, well could you imagine owning that farm you're talking about...FOREVER.
The CREP surrounding this WPRA is not in the best of cover, all it would take...well you get the picture. This is exciting!

With a good spring this area is going to explode! And the young birds will have all those Cicadas to fatten up on.
