Soft Gun Case Recommendations

Looking for something that will last. My last 2 cases each lasted a year before the zippers busted and/or ripped. They were off the shelf from the box stores. One was a browning and the other was an off brand. Thanks for any help.
Hopefully I won't have to keep replacing these damn things.

I just ordered the Boyt Signature Series in Green with free expedited shipping for $80. It will be here Wednesday. Hopefully this one holds up. I was just checking downstairs and I have 3 broken cases down there: Allen, Remington, and Plano.

Hopefully this one lasts.

Another vote for the Boyt cases. All of my guns ride behind the seat of the truck in one. They are very well constructed with a heavy duty zipper.

No question, the Boyt cases are tanks - built for a lifetime (and a few after you're gone perhaps). I considered it, but ended up getting one from Cabelas that is a modest imitation of the Boyt. My friend has a Boyt, so I was able to compare. Looking at them side-by-side, the Cabelas "imitation Boyt" had cheaper hardware (heavy-duty plastic instead of brass - arguably, although less durable I like this better when slipping a gun in/out - easier on the gun). Real leather on the Cabelas case, but not quite as nicely oiled as the Boyt. Otherwise it was very, very similar. I got it when it was on sale at Cabelas at is was 1/3 of the price of the Boyt.

Hard to beat a Boyt. I have 2 of them that I've used for years. I'm convinced that my Son won't wear them out after they are passed-on to him. I only wish that Boyt made boots . . .

I was looking at the Cabela's case early on, but I've had bad luck in the past when I took the cheap route.
I feel good about the buy getting the great feedback and can't wait to see it in a couple days.

Thanks everyone for the feedback.

Boyt Case Update

Just an update but I received the case and it is awesome. Before ordering I measured my gun at 49" exactly and I ordered the 50" case. The case was too small. Just wanted to give folks a heads up about sizing if they are thinking of ordering a similar case.
On a positive note I found the 52" case for 5 bucks cheaper. So I saved a few bucks.

A little late on the draw here, but I have 2 Bob Allen soft cases, one being about 15 years old and one being 8 years old. My dad also has his Allen case he bought when he bought his over under, which is about 15 years old as well. Hard to tell any wear on them and I am hard on them. In and out of trunks, in the back of the pick up in rain, snow, etc. They look good. I don't use either of those for waterfowl though.

I been looking at some cases myself. Boyt had a number of bad reveiws because of the brass zipper. Stating it was hard to zip even after waxing, and poor sewing job on the zipper. Some loyal Boyt owners say they aren't the case of the past! I just ordered a LL Bean, same cost of a Boyt but I like a good plastic zipper. Will see in a couple days.

Do you have any Amish that sew/make boat canvas in your area? Take the case you like the best to them & have them copy it with any improvements you would like. I like a double gun soft case, 2 zippers side by side. Make sure the handles go clear around, not just sewn on top!

I just purchased a Carhartt black 48" soft case online this past season. I was pleasantly surprised how nice it was.
Solid material, quilted interior, and heavy zippers.
Worth every penny in my eyes.
