Is there any snow around the Spencer area. Anyone have any tips on public hunting that would be worth walking. Have a good little springer and would invite some company. Thanks in advance!
Haven't been out, but there's no snow. Just froze up yesterday from 2 weeks in the muck, so it should be easier to get around. 2nd deer season ends Sunday.
Most of the birds have been driven into the catails and marshes. We need some serious below freezing days to allow us to get out there to them. Lots of birds around.
With all the rain and warm(er) temps it's really squishy in a lot of places. I too am hoping for a serious freeze here in East Iowa to be able to get into my favorite marsh for pheasants, but it doesn't look promising almost clear to the 1st.
