snakes

I was wondering if anyone is still seeing snakes in the fields, here in Colorado it is unseasonally warm, as a matter of fact tommorow is suppose to be a record high for the day, anyway I was talking to some friends today while we were shooting some skeet and one of the guys said he had heard that there had been some snakes seen in the area. I was just wondering if anyone else have been seeing any.
Grove county brit, if you are reading this, well I will try to get one for you as I understand you have a fondness for them. The bigger the better right.

sure bring it and also bring some kevlar so when i shoot it while you are still holding it you wont be injured

I just talked to another frind and he said he saw a rattler the opener of dove season and that is what he did, instead of watching for doves he was looking out for snakes.
Gove county britt , guess what you dont know what I look like so you wont know it is me when i walk up to you, :) but I will wear kelvar just to be sure.

Dude,
I aint gonna have it where you can see it, you think I am stupid dont ya, I m gonna hide it under my jacket, I aint heard a guy scream like a woman in some time :)

well i guess i will have to hire the police to frisk anyone wanting to come in contact with me

I thinkm I can throw it a pretty good distance, I have a couple of months to practice, should be like throwing horseshoes, I could probably find someone on here to even help me.

I spotted a pretty big bullsnake just last weekend, and at about 6,500 ft alt/ too!
Com'on cold weather!...

"Unseasonably warm".... that might be the biggest understatement I've seen recently!.. :p

yeh I can not wait for cooler weather, better for the pups

Not to highjack this thread,

The night time temps are getting cold enough that the snakes are headed to their , winter holes. They will be coming out to sun ,if the day time temps, get high enough for them to sun. Rocky high land areas, Colorado etc. lower elevations like in Arizona, etc. Will have snake problems until the end of November. Yup we need cooler weather.

saw one ran over on the road yesterday. But it musta' been close to 80 degrees, too. Doesn't look good for the reptilians after this weekend though!
